Hurricane Ivan

Hurricane Ivan killed at least 70 people across the Caribbean and the United States and destroyed thousands of homes and buildings.Grenada It has been described as ‘the most powerful hurricane in decades’.

Grenada was the worst affected with at least 37 people killed, while in Jamaica at least 22 lives were lost as a result of the hurricane. The Cayman Islands was also badly hit. more

Hurricane Jeanne

Hurricane Jeanne first began as a tropical storm passing through Puerto Rico and the US Virgin Islands on Wednesday, 15 September, bringing up to two feet (60cm) of rain and flooding hundreds of homes. Two people were killed. more
